Pedro Paulet

1874 – 1945

Engineer, inventor, and diplomat from Arequipa, considered one of the pioneers of modern astronautics. He designed one of the first liquid-fuel engines decades before the development of modern space travel.

His research was recognized internationally and provided fundamental foundations for the development of space technology and rocket propulsion. Today, he is considered one of the most influential Peruvian scientists in history.
