Honorio Delgado

1892 – 1969

He was an outstanding physician, thinker, and professor born in Arequipa. His work modernized the study of mental health in Peru, bringing new perspectives to human behavior and psychological illnesses. He also promoted scientific research and academic training in the medical field, leaving a profound influence on Latin American psychiatry.
